A hefty “DOGGYSTYLE” stickering campaign across London alerted us to the fact that this “eagerly awaited” UK release had been granted a certificate, and so this newbreed take on the rhetorical-music-video routine hits the shelves in time for christmas… An interesting - enevitable - crossover, it’s certainly testing the boundaries of what is deemed “acceptable” in mainstream media - but does it deliver on the knuckle front?
Well… I mean… I assume that this package is as much about “Hip” “Hop” as it is about Porn, yes? But in my book - there’s little to get excited about in either channel:
The CLASSIC mistake - shying off on the popshots!
Some talented perormers, some good strong sex - and some quite cracking cock-in-gob footage if i’m perfectly honest - but rushed over cream-scenes… tut tut tut… fractured cum-cuts leave the viewer cold - they get close - but the softcore scenes that accompany the audio tracks work best here - the hardcore just doesn’t dilute so well…
I mean… Are these guys really that comfortable - at ease - with the porn crew? Looks more like all-mouth-and-no-tracksuit-bottoms to me… and as for the “Dogg” himself - are those vapid mutterings really supposed to benefit the show in any way? Call me old fashioned… call me culturally ignorant… even naive… but isn’t this just marginally low-quality MTV fodder laced with hardcore in the name of “large” and the all pervasive publicity scandal it no doubt generates? Of course that’s fine… but that’s not what “The Search” is for: We want SIN - not spin… we need honest fuckery, not fashion statements and consumer fads…
Quite simply put - if you’re a “fan” of the Snoop and co. - you’ve got a good excuse to make a XXX purchase… If you like BIG-dick throat-openers and some fierce anal - you’ll get some pleasant results [particularly the oral - there’s some great work in here]… but you’re better off sticking with the dedicated tried and tested’s in my “humble” opinion… a ground breaking experiment indeed it is - but you should never underestimate the importance of good content.

I’m into it for the MTV angle, I like Snoop’s music and his brazen egocentric attitude… first up i thought the most impressive thing about this film was the ammount of gear those boys smoke! “I formally invite you all to Casper and Phyco’s house for an English style session - we got good weed!” [Phyco: “So it’s ten silk cut a packet of kingsize red and an eighth of glue for the american guests then is it?”]
The actual sexual content wasn’t really what I’m looking for…
Good “basic” scenes with couples, lesbian, interacial, anal, but poor pop-shots and a majority of “rubber sex” which I don’t like either… Good stuff if you like that regular hardcore and with a “dope” soundtrack… Some of the girls weren’t great, but the two porno actresses in the music studio scene were fucking rampant-up-for-it, as was the oriental looking bird who does an impressive anal scene - very vocal!
I loved the music, the lyrics, the pot and the outrageous confidence, hedonistic and shameless mysoginistic attitude of the Dogg Pound members… I love you Snoop - You’re a pot head like me! [Phyco: “But I bet HE hasn’t lost his poe “under his bed somewhere” has he? Mmmm?”]
